Conny Mayer-Bonde is Professor of Business Administration and Marketing. She is Dean of the Business School at the Centre for Advanced Studies at the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University.
In her professional career, she has been a member of the German Bundestag and has held leading positions in the tourism industry, including managing director of a destination management organisation and project manager at a state destination management organisation.
She is a member of the Senate of the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University, a board member of ATLAS (Association for Tourism and Leisure Education and Research) and the Tourism Committee of the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (DIHKT).
Conny Mayer-Bonde lectures worldwide and has a broad portfolio of research and publications.

Research areas: Her work focuses on service and tourism management, marketing and qualitative social research, and she teaches and researches at the interface between tourism, government and policy. Her research focuses on issues of resilience and sustainability in tourism, international development cooperation and various aspects of tourism policy, planning and governance in destinations. She is also interested in the impact of government regulation and bureaucracy on businesses.
